The repository of GDS Console 1.0 has been upgraded with the migration tool shipped with GDS 2.0.
Solution
The following manual steps have to be accomplished after finishing the repository migration:

You use SAP NetWeaver Master Data Management. You want to load master data from a SAP Remote System (R/3, ERP, CRM, SRM) into your MDM repository.You use MDM’s local extractor (transaction MDM_CLNT_EXTR) for this purpose.

Symptom
When using MDM 5.5, MDM Validations are not displayed in all of the login languages. For example: if you have a repository with 2 languages – English as primary and French as secondary, logging using English shows different Validations then when logging using French.

Symptom
You are trying to upload a new PDF/Image file to the MDM PDF/Image Table using the MDM Portal iViews but receiving a “com.sap.mdm.internal.protocol.manual.ServerException: Illegal value for parameter” error.

Reason and Prerequisites
When uploading a PDF/Image file to the PDF/Image Table using the MDM Portal iViews, the PDF/Image is uploaded without a thumbnail while the MDM Server is expecting to get it with a thumbnail.
Solution
Make sure that the repository in question has “Allow invalid PDFs” property set to “Yes”.
To do that please perform the following steps:
1. Log on to the MDM Console.
2. Connect to the repository which the MDM iViews are connected to.
3. Right-Click on the repository and select “Properties”.

Symptom
You have been requested by SAP support to upload a special customized .PAR file to your Portal environment.

Solution
In order to upload the custom .PAR file, please perform the following steps:
1. Log on to you Portal.
2. Go to “System Administration”->”Support”.
3. Under “Top Level Areas” select “Portal Runtime”.
4. Under “”Portal Anywhere” Admin Tools” select “Administration Console”.
5. Under “Archive Uploader” click “Browse” and select the custom .PAR file you would like to upload to your Portal.
6. Click “Upload”.
7. Check that you see a confirmation message stating that the archive was successfully uploaded.
8. Log off and log back on to the Portal.

Symptom
You would like to delete one or more Import maps from the MDM Import Manager

Solution
The simplest way to delete a map in the Import Manager is in the
following way:
1. Log on to the Import Manager.
2. Press “File->Open…”
3. Select the map you would like to delete from the available maps.
4. Press “Delete”.
5. Conform deletion of the map by press “Yes”.

You would like to delete one or more Syndication maps from the MDM Syndicator GUI

Solution
The simplest way to delete a map in the MDM Syndicator GUI is in the following way:
1. Log on to the Syndicator Gui.
2. Press “File->Delete”.
3. Select the maps you would like to delete.
4. Press “OK”.

Symptom
Formatting of MDM Real, Measurement or Currency field types with 1 or more digits after the decimal point appear to be different when comparing these fields in Item Details Edit mode to Item Details View mode.

Reason and Prerequisites
You have created a MDM Standard Item Details iView and that includes either a Real, Measurement or Currency field. Field formatting in view mode is done according to the MDM Console settings (e.g. Decimal places, Dimension etc.) using the MDM Java API, while for edit mode, formatting is handled by generic portal formatting infrastructure.
