IBM i: Postprocessing after installing an MDM server

As part of the installation of an MDM server on IBM i, some manual checks are required. This note describes these checks.

Solution
1. Required IBM PTFs
Before you can start operating an MDM server, the following PTFs must be active on your IBM i computer:
SI33372, SI33241, SI32914, SI34028, SI33157, SI34105, SI33949, SI34290, SI34000, SI34291, SI34212, MF46323, MF46651.
2. Check the reply list
Use the following two commands (under QSECDOFR authorization) to check if the reply list contains the correct entries:
ADDRPYLE SEQNBR(50) MSGID(CPA7025) RPY(’I’)
ADDRPYLE SEQNBR(3201) MSGID(CPA32B2) RPY(’I’)
If required, add the replies with another suitable SEQNBR.
If QSQSRVR jobs are still active in QSYSWRK, you must terminate them before using ADDRPYLE: ENDPJ SBS(QSYSWRK) PGM(QSYS/QSQSRVR).
