MDM on HP-UX IA crash when used with Oracle 10.2.0.4 client

Symptom
MDM is crashing on HP-UX IA (SIGBUS) when used with Oracle client 10.2.0.4.

Reason and Prerequisites
The way that the Oracle client 10.2.0.4 library was linked is different from the way it was in version 10.2.0.2. SAP can’t change the way MDM is being built in order for it to accommodate to the change that Oracle made. The actual change relates to the underlying OS library which was used for linking.
Solution
Please use Oracle Client 10.2.0.2 on HP/UX Itanium until a solution will be available.
The Oracle client 10.2.0.2 can be downloaded from the Oracle WebSite.
Once a solution is available this note will updated.
***For all other platforms it is recommended to use Oracle client – 10.2.0.4
